COMMITTEE INFORMATION 

The Troop Committee meets upon notice given by the Committee Chairperson during the regularly scheduled Troop meeting. Committee meetings begin at 7:00 pm and are held in the second floor classroom.

Board of Reviews are also held on this night if scheduled prior to the meeting through the Advancement Chair. 

Boards take place after the Committee meeting and require three registered Committee members to administer.

The Troop Committee consists of the Key 6 members and all registered adult members. The Scout Master and Asst. Scout Masters are also voting members of the Committee. 

Committee meetings are open to all adult members of the Troop.

The Key 6 Members are elected and hold the following positions:

Committee Chair - Mrs. Simpson. 
Secretary - Mrs. Wallace.
Treasurer - Mrs. Rebuck
Outdoor Chair - Mr. Forgacs.
Advancement Chair - Mr. Burgess.
Quarter Master - Mr. Wallace.

COMMITTEE POSITIONS

COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON:
Organize the Committee to see that all functions are delegated, coordinated and completed. Maintain a close relationship with the Chartered Organization Rep and the Scout Master. Interpret national and local policies to the Troop. Prepare Troop Committee meeting agendas. Call, preside over and promote attendance at Troop Committee meetings and any special meetings that may be called. Ensure Troop representation at monthly Roundtables. Secure top notch trained individuals for camp leadership. Arrange for charter review and re-charter annually. Plan the charter presentation.

SECRETARY:
Keep minutes of meetings and send out Committee meeting notices. Handle publicity. Prepare a newsletter of Troop events and activities. Conduct the Troop resource survey. At each Committee meeting, report the minutes of the previous meeting.

TREASURER (Finance/Records):
Process all Troop funds. Pay bills on recommendation of the Scout Master and authorization of the Troop Committee. Maintain Troop checking and savings accounts and Scout Buck accounts. Train and supervise the Troop Scribe in record keeping. Keep adequate records. Supervise money earning projects, including obtaining proper authorizations. Lead in the preparation of the annual Troop budget. Report to the Troop Committee at each meeting.

OUTDOOR CHAIRPERSON:
Help in securing permission to use camping sites. Serve as transportation coordinator. Help to ensure a monthly outdoor program. Assist in coordinating annual calendar planning meeting. Secure tour permits for all applicable Troop activities. Report to the Troop Committee at each meeting.

ADVANCEMENT CHAIRPERSON:
Encourage Scouts to advance in rank. Work with the Troop Scribe and Troop Master administrators to maintain all advancement records. Arrange Board of Reviews and Courts of Honor. Develop and maintain a Merit Badge Counselor list. Make a prompt report on the correct form to the council Service Center when a Troop Board of Review is held and secure badges and certificates. Report to the Troop Committee at each meeting.

QUARTER MASTER:
Supervise and help the Troop procure camping equipment. Work with the Troop Quarter Master on inventory and proper storage and maintenance of all Troop equipment. Make periodic safety checks on all Troop camping gear, and encourage the Troops in the safe use of all outdoor equipment. Report to the Troop Committee at each meeting.
