STUFF FOR THE MOMS AND DADS

ANNUAL DUES

Troop 169 has set in its by laws the annual dues rate at $100.00. This helps us to defray the operating costs of the Scouting year. Dues collection for the 2009 Scouting Year will begin January 1, 2010. Each Scout was given a Scout Buck accounting showing balances. These were placed in each Scouts saddlebag. These will be highlighted and marked DUE if your Scouts account did not cover the amount. Please make an attempt to see our Treasurer to arrange payment. Dues are be automatically deducted from your Scouts account unless otherwise notified. The Scouts also had the opportunity to sell candy to supplement their accounts. This is a great way for them to earn that money. Please encourage them to take this on themselves and take the responsibility for their Scouting Year.

HEALTH FORMS

The National BSA Council has mandated that as of 12/31/09 ALL Med Forms be the new forms that are currently found on our Library Page.  Mr. Manthey will send out notification to those of you that this mandate effects. You will no longer be able to use the old Class 1/2/3 forms that we have had, nor will you be able to submit OHSAA (Athletic) health forms. We will have plenty of copies in stock for you to grab, or you can just print it off the Library Page. If your Scout is going to the doctor soon or scheduled for an athletic physical please pick one up and have the doctor fill it out. Make a copy of it and return both to Mr. Manthey.

Any parent(s) that are interested in attending activities with the troop need to have on file with the Troop Medical Officer a current Health Form. If you are interested in camping or attending activities with the Troop please see Mr. Manthey and pick up the proper form.

PICK UPS

If your Scout is at camp and needs to leave early you need to pick him up no later than 8:00 pm for evening release. You can make arrangements to pick your Scout up in the morning at anytime (prior to Troop departure) If there is an emergency situation, please notify the attending Leaders at the earliest opportunity. Any Scout leaving camp without first checking out (Scout and Parent) with the attending Leaders will forfeit their attendance at the next outing. This is for the Health and Safety of all Scouts.
